No one loves being publicly vulnerable - it’s awkward - but here it goes.
This morning is the 22nd. On the 29th, my wife (MissHappyPink) has a spinal cord biopsy scheduled. Hopefully that isn’t interrupted by a shortage of beds due to Covid.
The amount of caregiving that is included in the year that has led to this and will after is my first priority. It’s some incredibly terrifying stuff. Just the procedure to find out more information alone could leave her paralyzed from the waist down.
That has nothing to do with whatever answers can come from the sample and following battle plan to improve her quality of life.
She has been in chronic pain for the past 2 years and this one has been jam-packed throughout Covid with multiple doctor visits for various attempts to take a step toward a diagnosis. On top of lots of blood samples, this has included maybe 8-9 MRIs, a cat scan, a spinal tap (metal hands), and a spinal angiogram. None of these tests have brought any solution to daily life. So, while doing my best to care for her needs and our home/pets/etc, I’m spinning the plates of running my business, printing, client designs, emails, shipping, etc.
As of yesterday, I am almost caught up on all orders. Because I’m just one skeleton, I’m sure there’s one or two that have fallen through the cracks, but I’ve gotten mostly everyone set up for success by packing up stuff every few days at the poster dungeon.
I finished printing the Foo posters the Friday before they were announced/went on sale. Monday, I numbered and shipped the copies that go to band’s webstore and management. I still need to sign and number my copies.
The post office is overwhelmed. Full Stop.
I appreciate your order. So, instead of throwing your new Foo Fighters prints together in a frenetic jumble to a Post Office branch that is likely choked with all the last-minute orders all of us have made for various daily needs in a Covid era - let alone gifting needs, - I’d rather not chance losing your shipment and let the USPS bottleneck calm down a little bit. It will be right after the start of the New Year.
Thank you.
Don’t forget to love each other.
