I like making noise. I play with synths, weird homemade instruments, guitars and whatever I can get my hands on. Do you have a lute I can borrow?
After years of being associated with the music industry on the visual side via album art, merchandise design & rock posters, I decided it was time to make my contribution to the aural side of things & released my first ep on Halloween of 2016 under the name Navernoe. It is highly influenced by horror movie music scores. You can purchase it below. I also put a free song in the store.
I'm wrapping things up on my second collection of songs.
I have a separate Instagram account for my noise-making.
I see my music as almost a soundtrack to the nature-based illustration I am prone to sink a lot of time into. I'm sure that sounds lame, but I'm comfortable with that.
This album was made with synths, samples, field recordings of insects, letterpress machines, and sounds from my print shop. I sequenced loops and layers with big drums to walk through a story.
'Navernoe' is the first collection. I'm excited about diving into the next chapter.
