Taking a Break

MissHappyPink is currently on hiatus. In 2019, Brttney, the artist behind MissHappyPink, had to take a break to address unexpected health issues, which turned out to be a rare cancer in her spinal cord. She underwent surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, which left her paralyzed from the T-11 vertebra and below. As a result of the cancer, she also developed some autoimmune disorders and a rare degenerative condition that has no cure. Fortunately, she is currently in remission!

However, these health challenges have taken away her ability to screenprint. While she continues to create art for personal use, she hopes to one day reopen her work to the public. Until then, she is a feral housewife with two lively cats that keep her busy and bring her joy. She also supports her husband in his business, Angryblue.
