There were a bunch of designs for my old band, but almost nothing got produced. And now I can’t locate most of them. Apparently, I’m going to have to rummage through some hard drives. I think that my favorite visual was one where i’d taken the basic idea of the Cabaret logo and adopted it for some weird reason.
We did get some stickers, patches and buttons manufactured for shows. We had this experimental post-rock prog thing and it eventually just sort of crumbled away in 2005.
This is a pretty terrible design for a shirt, really, but I think I did this about ten years ago so …shut it. I always liked the fleur di scarab.
Canopic is probably the best band in the city of Louisville, KY at the time of this writing (12/18/04). – Mike Giralico
Canopic had material recorded that was supposed to be included a CD for the Halloween 2004 show that they played with Nixon, Lords, and Ganthet, but decided that they didn’t think it was good enough, and didn’t submit the songs. Whether “good enough” refers to song quality or recording quality, you’d have to ask them, but I have a feeling it was just recording quality. – Bryan Volz
In 2012, I started writing music again with the bassist and drummer for Canopic under the name ‘Coffins‘
